Creative and art direction

Campaigns, from the first idea to the final grade

Concept, casting, styling and on-set direction, with Lūmen Studio and its co-founder Inès Lessinger. I also retouch and grade every final image.

Malababa

Accessories campaign · August 2026 · with Lūmen Studio

Brief
Madrid accessories brand Malababa sent its bags, earrings and brooches. Lūmen took full charge of the shoot, from idea to delivery.
My role
Creative and art direction with Inès Lessinger: concept, location scouting, casting and styling. Photography assistant and on-set direction. Retouching of the final images and reel editing.

Result
35 images and 5 reels delivered one week after the shoot. Used in Malababa's newsletter.

Gardens, statues and colour chosen to frame each bag like a still life.

Brief
An Autumn/Winter fashion campaign conceived and produced by Lūmen Studio.
Idea
Valencia's old town as a second character: tailoring set against old stone, doors and ironwork.
My role
On-set art direction and directing with Inès Lessinger. Retouching and colour of all final images.

Result
26 final images.

Colour and black and white were graded as one series. Digital and physical retouching techniques.

Trend and market research, product design

Reading the market, then designing the product

Scool Play is made by Anthaix S.A.C., my family's company. Every season I research consumers, competitors and visual trends, and turn them into a report that sets the direction of the product line: bottles, thermoses and food containers.

I then design the product lines myself, from the first sketch to the final render, including production-ready packaging.

The line launched and keeps growing. Its 5th and 6th seasons are now in development.

After each report I present it to the whole company. I translate the findings into visual boards (colour, fashion, home) and run a Q&A so every department can prepare the upcoming campaigns.

Aranza Thiessen

I'm a photo retoucher and art director based in Valencia, Spain. I studied Photography and Video (BA Hons, Coventry University, at LABA Valencia) and co-founded Lūmen Studio, a fashion and editorial studio for refined brands.

My retouching covers beauty, fashion, jewellery and product, always aiming for images that look excellent, not retouched. A background in trend research and product design shapes how I think about where a market is going, and how an image has to work commercially.
